LITERARY REPRESENTATION

North Parade Press is an agency built on a love of the writing life. Whatever season you find yourself in as a writer, North Parade is cheering you on to publication day. Read on to see what kind of writing we are looking for.

Allison East is looking to be swept up. It could be practical theology, food writing, literary fiction, or an enchanting children’s book. If you’re a writer cooking up something along those lines, let’s talk.

ALLISON EAST

Founder & Lead Agent

Allison is a literary agent, mom to two tiny children, and a short order cook. She has been known to describe herself somewhere between Eloise at the Plaza and an epicurean rat in search of nothing less than transcendence. As in, Ratatouille. A bit about her: Allison studied journalism at Abilene Christian University and went on to get her master’s in publishing at Oxford Brookes University. She has worked in a variety of agency capacities, from proposal development to book design to pitching.

Allison reads widely but often finds herself carried away by delicious or hilarious food writing, practical cookbooks for normal people, sweeping historical fiction or works exploring language in translation, books on how to be a Christian in the 21st century, or magical children’s novels and picture books.

You can read Allison’s own writing on her Substack, Editor & Chef.
